Oswin is totally River Song.  I've been sure of it from the moment I met her in Asylum of the Daleks, but now I'm sure.

That is all.

PS:  You're welcome to think that about me being awesome, if you want to.

The Grand Moff has deleted his twitter account!

Oh well.  I only go onto twitter every few weeks -- usually when I hear of something else hilarious happening on his account.

And to be fair, the "fans" are incredibly rude to him on twitter...

I loved his snarky replies, though.

Also... I NOW HAVE TO WAIT SEVERAL DAYS FOR THE ANGELS TAKE MANHATTAN!

GAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I signed up for a chance to win tickets to the screening of Doctor Who on Saturday.

But I see lots of people saying "I wish they'd have added airfare and lodging!  Now if I win I won't be able to get there from CA/MN/AZ/etc."  And I want to know WHY THEY ENTERED!

Anyway, I won't be too sad if I don't win because Moffat isn't going to be there.  But still...

(You'd better believe I'll be paying REALLY close attention when Sherlock Series 3 comes out.  :-D  )

First attempt at a Doctor Who fic.  I think it's a bit of overkill to say it has spoilers for series 6, but it might be slightly lost on someone who hadn't watched series 6...

A Bigger Adventure

“Amy, my mum will…”

“You know your mum and me! If I don’t get this pudding right… All because you forgot to buy me oranges. I called you! Twice!

“I’m sorry... But there’s nothing to be done. The shop isn’t open anymore.”

“You ruined it… on Christmas Eve!”

“You have lemons. They’re citrus, yeah?”

“Don’t be stupid! They’re completely different!”

“Amy, I… Look. There’s a 24-hour Tesco in Gloucester. If the snow slows down it shouldn’t take more than forty-five minutes each way.”

“Some Christmas Eve!”

“I meant together. I’ll clear off the car?”

“Oh… I’ll get my coat, then.”

I think that the Sherlock fans are mad a Moffat again about something he said about Doctor Who and they assumed applied to Sherlock or vice versa.  I don't want to know it he said ANYTHING about Sherlock, even if you don't think it's spoiler-y, so please don't tell me in comments.  But I got a kick out of this tweet:

"Daleks: I was talking about THIS series. Stand down."

Do most famous people on Twitter get a lot of grief every time they say something that the crazed superfans don't like?

Well, it seems that lot of people are really disappointed that Benedict Cumberbatch didn't get the BAFTA for best actor.  I, of course, said that I wanted him to win, because I loved his performance, but the fact is that I haven't seen Eric and Ernie or... the thing Jim Broadbent did, and of the two I did see, I couldn't honestly say if I thought Cumberbatch's Sherlock was better than Smith's Doctor.  So, I don't even have enough information to say whether I agree with the decision or not, much less complain about it.  And frankly, I am not upset.  Cumberbatch was really good.  Yay!  Apparently there are some people who think he wasn't the best. They may well be right.  :-)

But I saw a brief interview with Cumberbatch from before the awards ceremony, and he said something to the effect that it was insulting to Broadbent and Rigby that the press was setting this up as only a competition between Smith and Cumberbatch.

So the random thought that popped into my head was... I wonder if that affected the BAFTA voters?

(I don't mean this bitterly or conspiracy theory-ish-ly.  I just know if I were voting and I were really torn between several really great actors, that would influence me against them for sure!)
