Okay.

So, a few days ago, I made this my facebook status:

"In just three days I will be INUNDATED with letter from my secret admirers. Naturally."

It afforded some amusement to me, and possibly to others.

On Sunday, I changed my status to this:

"PS: Dear Secret Admirers, My favorite chocolate is milk chocolate with hazelnuts."

Today was the Regional Poetry Out Loud contest, so I was out with my students for most of the school day.  When I got back one of the secretaries stopped me, and said "This package came for you.  I don't know what it is, but it's from chocolate.com."

I started giggling, and opened it.

Inside were SIX of these:

The invoice says "I have admired you since we went to high school.  Very secretly.  -You Secret Admirer"

I AM STILL LAUGHING!

Also, I gave away some of it, but I still have a LOT of chocolate left.

I call this story...

MOST SUCCESSFUL FACEBOOK STATUS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS:  One of my coworkers says she is going to make herself a facebook profile and mention all the things she likes.  :-P

PPS:  My mom:  WHO DO YOU THINK IT IS?  IT HAS TO BE SOMEONE WHO WENT TO SCHOOL WITH YOU!  Me:  No, Mom.  It's a joke.  Mom:  YOU NEVER KNOW.  Me:  *sigh*

My "backup church" for snowy weather (the one I normally go to is about 25 minutes away...) is within 10 minutes walking distance.  I'm irrationally excited about walking through the snow to church in an hour and a half!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   :-D

And singing the Messiah!

And then going to the advent service that my school hosts!

This should be a wonderful Sunday!  :-)

I think this is about a third of my library.  AND IT IS SHELVED!

shelf one
This shelf holds, from top to bottom, Religion, Classics, Poetry, Drama, and, on the bottom shelf, Shakespeare.

This shelf holds, from top to bottom, Brit lit, Am Lit, World Lit, and Kid Lit.

And finally, this shelf holds, from to to bottom, "pretty"/collectible books, my Harry Potter collection, my C.S. Lewis collection, my Tolkien collection, my Steinbeck collection, and my Dickens collection.  That creepy thing in the corner is my wookie. (new epithet thanks to [livejournal.com profile] capt_facepalm.  :-D)

I have more of every category mentioned, plus a Reference collection, a Music collection (literature and scores), a Philosophy collection, a non-fic-of-other-kinds collection (primarily literary criticism, but also history and politics), and a Language collection.  I have three bigger, but less pretty, shelves that are going in my bedroom and I think might possibly hold the rest of my books.  When they are filled, I will certainly be photographing them, because this is a BIG DEAL!  I've been living out of boxes, literarily speaking for several months now!

I now have one of three bookshelves assembled and attached to the wall.

Yay!

EDIT:  Books up as well!   Perhaps in a month my house will be inhabitable!  :-D
