I'm not a fan of Les Mis, as far as I've heard it.  But Roger Allam was apparently the original Javert in London.

(And I'd rather hear him sing "Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines"... but I had to share for the coolness factor alone.  And also because I'm pretty sure I have Les Mis fan friends on my f-list.)

I was going to say I didn't know that Roger Allam acted in musicals. Then I realized that the answer to that was...

"Well, you remember that time when there was that thing you didn't know whether or not I could do, and then it turned out I couldn't?"

"No"

"No, Nor do I."

I just realized this song has something for everyone on my f-list.

For those one my f-list who love the 50s musical...well this is from 1949, but I'd put it in the same general category.

For those on my f-list who love classic Sherlock Holmes, King Arthur (the guy with the beard) is played by Sir Cedric Hardwicke, father of Edward Hardwicke who played Watson in most of the Granada Holmes adaptations.

For those on my f-list who love Sherlock, this song plays an important role in an episode of Cabin Pressure, a radio show starring Benedict Cumberbatch among others.

And for me, it is one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite movies when I was a little girl.

I'd say everyone wins, eh?
