My doggie seems depressed. Maybe I should just take him to doggie psychiatrist.

Or maybe he has lyme.

The second is much more likely, I think, since he tested mildly positive for the presence of the antibodies or something a few weeks ago.  (Which means that a tick bit him, but not necessarily that he has lyme.)  I couldn't afford the extremely expensive test to find out for sure, but based on his behavior I'll go back and have the cheap test done again, and if it comes back positive I'll start him on the antibiotics.

Poor little guy.  I've had lyme and it's not fun for humans, I promise.  Can't imagine it's any more fun for dogs.

(I feel particularly bad for animals when they're sick and hurting.  Irrational, I know, as they're just animals...but you can't make them understand that it is only temporary...  I actually cried once or twice when Arthur was sliced open by a stick and had to get three layers of stiches--almost ninety in total.  He had to wear the e-collar, and he was all drugged up, and he was so sad and scared and hurting that he wouldn't even walk to go to the bathroom.  Just put his head down, and his tail between his legs and stood there.  *sob*)

And if it isn't, why are my neighbors playing very loud repetitive music at 1:40 AM?  The bass sounds like the bass of a Johnny Cash song.  Imagine only hearing the base of Folsom Prison Blues for an hour oon repeat.  I have nothing against the song...but the bass all by itself for an hour is a bit much...

BTW:  I am not exaggerating about the repetitiveness or how long it's been going on...
