I just realized this song has something for everyone on my f-list.

For those one my f-list who love the 50s musical...well this is from 1949, but I'd put it in the same general category.

For those on my f-list who love classic Sherlock Holmes, King Arthur (the guy with the beard) is played by Sir Cedric Hardwicke, father of Edward Hardwicke who played Watson in most of the Granada Holmes adaptations.

For those on my f-list who love Sherlock, this song plays an important role in an episode of Cabin Pressure, a radio show starring Benedict Cumberbatch among others.

And for me, it is one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite movies when I was a little girl.

I'd say everyone wins, eh?

Ron the computer is dead.

I am not purchasing another computer until my father takes a look at Ron this weekend, but he's definitely dead.

I am thinking of naming my next computer Sherlock, but am not sure.  On the one hand, Sherlock is really smart.  On the other hand, Sherlock might not talk for days.

And then back on the "pro" side, due to my penchant for older literature, I don't think there are any other characters I know and love who have described their brain capacities in terms of a computer hard drive.

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT DECISION, PEOPLE!

RIP, Ron

Or Could it?

“You know, you’ve been acting very… odd lately…”

 “Odd, captain?”

“The two of you. It’s like you’re… getting along!”

“I know it’s hard to believe, Jim, but this walking computer can be almost fun once you get to know him.”

“And despite his illogical habits, Dr. McCoy is not wholly repulsive.”

“This… this doesn’t have anything to do with whatever happened when I was drugged by…”

“What? Of course not, Jim. We’ve already told you. You fell fast asleep.”

 “Spock did you just…?”

 “Captain?”

“No. No, that couldn’t…  Never mind. Goodnight.”

 One minute later

“Computer! Vulcan Culture files. Subject: Winking.”
