I think that the Sherlock fans are mad a Moffat again about something he said about Doctor Who and they assumed applied to Sherlock or vice versa.  I don't want to know it he said ANYTHING about Sherlock, even if you don't think it's spoiler-y, so please don't tell me in comments.  But I got a kick out of this tweet:

"Daleks: I was talking about THIS series. Stand down."

Do most famous people on Twitter get a lot of grief every time they say something that the crazed superfans don't like?

Haha! That's what it was! (I didn't want to look into what he was talking about because I was afraid of Sherlock spoilers. So thanks!)

Honestly, I'm glad there won't be Daleks, because this is getting more serious, and Daleks make me laugh. I love them. But when they show up, the situation always becomes much less serious for me. Sometimes it becomes hilarious. Cybermen = MUCH MORE FREAKY!

I've always thought the Cybermen are much scarier than the Daleks. The whole conversion business is much, much more of a threat - the best version of the Cybermen was one of the sixties incarnations, when they still had human hands.

I agree with the Moff re the Daleks:

They are the most famous of the Doctor's adversaries and the most frequent, which means they are the most reliably defeated enemies in the universe.

"They have been defeated by the Doctor about 400 times. Surely they should just see the TARDIS approaching, say, 'Oh, it's him again', and trudge away."

I love the image of the Daleks trundling away, plungers drooping. :)

Ha! Me, too.

(And even perhaps saying EXTERMINATE in very disillusioned voices?)
