So, I was listening to a sermon by the pastor I mentioned a few weeks ago--Ted Donnelly.  He's probably somewhere between 60 and 70, and he lives in Northern Ireland.

He was making a point about God's providence, and to illustrate it he told about when he was 12, and was given the choice to learn ancient Greek or German.  He decided to go for Greek, because he'd done pretty well in Latin.  (The point being that even though he had no thoughts of being a minister at the time, God was preparing him by directing his choices.)

Well, in typical-for-me fashion I was immediately SO jealous that he had already gotten some Latin under his belt at TWELVE and was started on Greek that I was distracted.

I still am.

WHY ISN'T EDUCATION LIKE THAT IN THE US?

Is is stil like that in the UK?  We wonders, precious, aye we wonders.  If it is then we are DEFINITELY finding a man in the UK and marrying him so that the children will have this education.

And no, staying in the US and homeschooling is not an option BECAUSE  I WANT TO MARRY A GUY WITH A UK ACCENT.  SERIOUSLY, I'M NOT PICKY ABOUT WHAT KIND OF ACCENT AS LONG AS IT ORIGINATES SOMEWHERE IN THE UK.

:-D

(Okay...not REALLY picky, but an accent from more northern England...like Sean Bean's accent...*sigh*...)
